Managing Triggers - Profiles
Remember that your trigger actions are contained within a trigger profile. To change something in your processing, you need to drop into the relevant profile and make the change there, or choose the action to modify or delete.
Editing a Profile
With your form open, from the Post Processing menu choose Triggers. Or, from the Logiforms Start Menu, choose Database Tools > Trigger Processing Actions, select your form and click OK. The Trigger Profiles window appears.
The profiles that you have created display. Note the summary to the right of whether they run on insert or update. Choose one of your profiles and click "Edit Trigger Profile".
The Triggers Wizard screen has three tabs where you can change the settings for this profile. The General Settings tab lets you change the name, turn logging on or off, and check whether it's run on update or insert.
The Trigger Execution Rules tab lets you modify your Change State Rule.
The Actions tab is where you see the actions you have defined. This is where you add new trigger actions to this profile, delete them, change their order, or change their details.
Using the Log
If your trigger profile produces unexpected results, you may need to examine in closer detail exactly what is happening. It is good practice to enable the logging feature on the General Settings tab of your profile.
Then, after the trigger actions run, you can see the details of what happened by clicking "View Debugging Log" on the main Trigger Profiles screen.
