About the Logiforms Workspace
We designed the Logiforms workspace using the familiar paradigm of a computer desktop. When you log in, you'll see the desktop. The desktop contains a number icons, a Taskbar, a Start Menu, and the The Dashboard. When you click on an icon or select an item from the Start Menu, a window appears in the middle of the desktop and a button appears on the Taskbar. As with the Microsoft WindowsTM desktop, you can right-click on the Taskbar button to minimize, maximize, or close the open window.
Launching Modules
You can launch modules in a number of different ways: click on a desktop icon, select it from the Start Menu, or use the DashBoard. In some modules, you'll need to select a form or component. For example, you'll need to choose a form when you launch the Form Designer. For existing forms, you can find the form in the Dashboard and then right-click to to choose the module you want to access for that form. Learn more in Creating Forms.
What can I do in the workspace?
- Select an item in the Start Menu
- Open the Dashboard
- Switching to Folder View (to move forms, subusers, workflows between projects)
- Work with the Taskbar
- Learn about creating Forms
Start Menu
In the lower left corner of the desktop, click the Logiforms icon to display the Start Menu.
Here you will find all of the Logiforms modules, access to your Account Management tools, Preferences and the Help Center.
Some modules will require that you first choose a form. When you see the Form Selection dialog, simply find your form in one of the project folders and click OK.
Also, the Start Menu contains the Logout menu item. You can select Logout to end your session, but it's good to realize that your account always gets a clean logout when you close your browser window.
If you have selected the 'remember me' feature on the login screen, your session will be automatically restarted when you log back in.
The Dashboard
The Dashboard provides you with convenient access to all of your projects, forms, users and Logiforms components.
The Dashboard window is always open and can be accessed via the TaskBar at any time to quickly navigate to and open another component.
While viewing components in the dashboard, you can click to open the component details panel, or right-click to choose from the actions menu.
Note: The Dashboard is always open, but may be minimized. If it's not visible on the desktop, click the tab on the DashBoard button in the taskBar.
Switching to Folder View
Click the folder icon in the top right corner of the dashboard to:
- Move forms between project folders
- Move workflows between projects folders
- Move sub users
- Delete Projects
The Taskbar
The Taskbar runs along the very bottom of the desktop. The extreme left of the Taskbar contains the Start Menu. As you open modules within the desktop interface, a corresponding button will appear on the Taskbar. A simple click on each of these buttons makes it easy to switch between modules.
Right-click on the Task Bar button to do any of the following:
• Minimize the window
• Maximize the window
• Close the window
• Minimize all other windows
• Close all other windows
