Sub User Testing & Integration
Once you establish a sub user account, you should take time to test it, and also consider if you want to embed a sub user login page into your website. Read below to learn more.
Testing Sub User Accounts
Once you establish the sub user account, you can login as that sub user to test the account. The easiest way to test a sub user account is to:
-
In the Start Menu, select the Sub User Account Manager menu item.
-
In the User Account Management window, right click on a sub user and choose Integration/login Access.
-
Select Direct Link and then click Next.
-
Copy the URL, click Close and log out of Logiforms.
-
Enter the new URL in your browser navigation bar and press enter.
-
Log in using the sub user credentials.
Advanced Testing in another browser session
To test the sub user account simultaneously, you can paste the sub user login link into another browser. If you are using Firefox, you cannot test the sub user account simultaneously in another Firefox browser instance. Instead you might paste the URL into another browser such as Internet Explorer, Chrome, or Safari.
Another option is to spawn a new instance of the same browser. One browser window can contain your sub user session and another window would have your main account session with Logiforms. Here's a link to instructions on how to set this up with FireFox (the browser we recommend):

Embedding a Sub User Login Page into Your Website
You can embed a login page for your sub users directly on your website. The Integration wizard provides two options. Both of these options mask the logiforms URL and show your website's URL in the browsers location bar.
Full Page FrameSet
This option will provide you with the HTML code/files needed to create a frameset on your website. The top frame in the frameset is set to 0 pixels in height and is invisible. The bottom frame points to the sub user login page. When used on your website this option provides full screen access to the Data Access Module and automatically adjusts as the window is resized.
Partial / Embedded IFrame
The Embedded IFRAME option is easier to integrate, but does not provide automatic resizing of the browser window. It is essentially a fixed width and height IFRAME that is embedded onto your page.
Here we show you the simple steps to configure and the capture the integration code to place into your website.
-
In the Start Menu, select the Sub User Account Manager menu item.
-
In the User Account Management window, right click on a sub user and choose Integration/login Access.
-
Select Embedded and then click Next.
-
Choose which Embed Mode you want for the login page. Partial/Embeded IFRAME will produce integration code that will render an IFRAME or a small part of one of your existing web pages. You'll also need to specify a Width and Height. Choosing Full Page/Frameset will produce code to render a complete login web page.
-
Depending on the option selected:
-
If you selected the IFRAME option, you'll see the code that you need to copy and paste on the next screen. Copy and paste this code onto your website to display the IFRAME. If you selected
-
If you selected the Full Page / Frameset option you will see a button to download a zip file containing the Frameset HTML pages. Click to download and extract the files to your website. Link to frameset.html to within your HTML code to load the Data Access Module.
-
-
Click Close to exit the wizard.
When using the Direct Link option with the Data Only sub user account type, it is important that you use the link provided through the Integration Wizard. While a user could go directly to logiforms and log in, if you want any assigned Sub User Theme to be applied then they need to use the URL provided in this Integration Wizard
