Creating a Sub User Account
Though we offer you many options when creating this profile, it's quite easy when you follow the steps in the wizard:
-
In the Start Menu, choose Sub User Account Management, and click Next when the wizard appears.
-
There are two types of sub users, Data Only or Form Creator. Near the end of the wizard, you can edit specific permissions for this sub user (see below).
-
At this point, simply decide on the type of sub user account you want to create. If you select Data Only, this sub user account will only gain access to the submission database through a non branded interface. If you select Form Creator, this sub user will have full access to the logiforms platform (minus any access restrictions you assign).
-
Click Next to go to the Sub User Account Settings panel.
-
Enter Sub User Name, the Email address, Username, and Password for the user. Carefully repeat the password in Confirm Password. NOTE: The password must be at least 6 characters and contain at least 2 numbers or symbols.
-
Optionally, you can create a theme for the new user. Click the Browse Themes button to display the Theme management window. For more details, see the Sub User Theme Settings section below.
-
Click Next to move on to the Projects and Forms permissions panel. Depending on the type of sub user selected in step 2, you'll see different options on this screen. See configuring Form permissions for a Data Only sub user or Configuring Form Permissions for a Form Creator Sub user
-
On the Account Permissions screen, check or uncheck the box next to each module/function you wish to grant the user access to.
-
Check the boxes to allow or restrict the general privileges for this sub user account, then click Finish to save the sub user account profile and exit the wizard.
Sub User Theme Settings
When creating a Data Only sub user you have the option to create a simple theme to assign to the sub user. This theme will be used when the user logs in to access the Data Access Module.
If you want to alter the sub user account theme, click the Browse Themes button in the Account Settings panel of the wizard.
-
In the Theme management window, click New to add a new user theme.
-
Enter a Theme Name.
-
Specify the Password Reminder Email address. A message will be sent to this address if the user calls for recovery of their password.
-
Enter the Login Screen Title and Login Screen Description, and then click the Browse button to choose a Login Screen Graphic from the media library.
-
Click Next to move onto the next panel of the wizard.
-
Enter the text for the Title, which will appear in the browser title bar of the login window.
-
Also, click the Browse button to choose a Logo/Graphic from the media library. This graphic must be no large than 32 x 32 pixels. It will appear in the upper left corner of the login window.
-
Click Next to go to the last step of the wizard, Footer & Welcome Message.
-
Enter the text for the Footer, which will appear at the very bottom of the login window.
