Overview of PDF Generation Tools
Our suite of tools to generate PDFs give you the flexibility you need to meet your business requirements. You can create dynamic PDF documents on the fly and/or route the data from your mobile-compatible web form into a PDF form.
The PDF is generated after a user submits a form. It is stored in a field in the form, and you can personalize the filename with wildcards. Consider how you can use one of these four PDF generation tools to meet your business requirements:
-
PDF Form - Import a PDF with interactive form fields and populate with data from your form submission database. Useful when you already have existing PDF forms that staff know how to handle, and you need to quickly add mobile web functionality to your business processes.
-
Dynamic PDF - Use our PDF document designer to create a PDF template that presents data from your form submission database. Use our Rich Text Editor to format the document. Include wildcards for personalization and conditional content for advanced results. Use the standard Logiforms Rule screen to select one or more fields and define the settings that determine when this PDF will be generated. Useful for personalized documents like name badges, certificates, receipts, and any time you need to generate a consistent branded output.
-
Static PDF - Upload a PDF created elsewhere, such as assembly instructions that you send out with all orders. Useful when you need an attachment for your AutoResponders and Notifications.
-
Merged PDF - Dynamically create complex PDF documents and merge them conditionally, based on data entered in the form. An extra layer of security can be added to the documents. Useful for wills, leases, mortage documents, and any other situation where various appendices may or may not need to be included.
PDFs are created and managed using the PDF Wizard. In the Form Designer, from the Post Processing menu, choose PDF Generation.
