The UserName/Password special field is a feature-rich element. When you add it to your form, you give your users the ability to return, log-in and edit a form that they had previously submitted.
Once added to your form, the Integration wizard and the preview/launch menu will be updated to include a link to both the Form (for first time users to complete) and a link to the log-in page for the same form, where returning users can log in and edit their submission. This can be used to allow a user to keep their profile up-to-date, for example.
Respondent Update Mode is a special property that is only available in the UserName/Password special field. Once you configure this property, both AutoResponders and Notifications can be setup to customize messages that align with the respondent update process. Learn more in the topics Introduction to AutoResponders and Respondent Update Profile.
