Form Layout & Alignment Properties
In Form Layout & Alignment Properties, you can configure properties that apply to all form elements. For example, caption width set at the form level will constrain the caption width for all elements throughout the form, unless you override it by setting a different caption width for the element.
Layout & Alignment properties can be set in two places: at the form level and at the field level. Settings made at the form level apply to all elements within the form, except for those elements to which you apply element-level changes. For example, if you want to show your captions aligned to the right on your form, you would make that setting change at the form level so that it cascades down to all form fields.
In the Field Layout & Alignment Properties panel, settings that are inherited from the form are shown in gray. Any settings that are set at the field level and override the form settings are shown in black.
