Using the Menu
In addition to the workspace and the property panels, the Form Designer has a dozen menu items that lead to a variety of powerful features. Some choices reveal a list of options; some immediately open another feature.
Menu | Details |

New | Opens the New Form Wizard to create another form. |
Open | Click to open another form. |
Save | Note the number in parentheses besides the Save menu. It always shows the number of unsaved changes in your form. Click to save these changes. Click the dropdown arrow to display the Save As menu choice to save this form with a different name in a different folder. |
Preview/Launch | Click the dropdown arrow to display the three preview options. |
Database | Opens the form submission database for this form. |
Settings | The Settings menu has 11 choices. The first three are related to the form property panels. Security settings lets you manage security, passwords, spam, restricted values, and single entry rules. Custom Elements and Themes affect the look of the form. Extensions is where you manage the save and finish later feature, inventory control, and form availability. You can convert this form to a multi-page form. Responsive Form Settings lets you control how your form behaves on a mobile device. Optimize Form and Rebuild Form are related to form performance. |
Post Processing | The Post Processing menu has 8 choices that add additional functionality and automation to your form: Autoresponder Emails & Redirects to set up automatic communications with customers. Notification Email Alerts & Approval Workflow to set up automatic communication when new forms are received; usually sent to staff for processing. 3rd Party Integrations for setting up automated payment processing and other integrations. Lead Distribution for handling form submissions. PDF Generation to generate PDFs from form data. Electronic Signatures to add legally binding electronic signatures. Triggers to take action based on the changing state of your data. Automated Daily FTP Transfer to move form data elsewhere. |
Integration | Opens the Integration Wizard to generate the code for publishing your form. |
Insert Element | Click to choose from a long list of items you can add to your form, including 20+ special fields. |
Form View | Click to create and manage different views of this form. |
Undo | Undo the last change made to your form. |
Theme & Style | Opens the Theme Settings window where you manage master themes and subthemes control design changes to pages, panels, fields, tooltips, and buttons. |
