Getting to Know the Form Designer
The Form Designer is where you'll add, edit and delete fields, and layout your form. We'll start with a look at the key interface elements you'll be using to design your forms.
The Form Outline Panel
The Form Outline panel shows a hierarchical view of your form. Use this panel to "drag and drop" form fields to arrange field order. Click any field, group or panel to edit the selected element. When you click an element, its properties are loaded into the Field Properties panel. It's also important to note that clicking the Forms Root Property Node (the name of the form at the top of the tree) lets you edit the global Form Properties.
The Properties Panel
Use the Properties panel to edit the properties of the selected form element. The Properties panel is separated into several sections appropriate to the type of form element selected. These sub-panels may include General Setting, Style Override Setting, Validation Setting, and Layout and Alignment Properties. The specific content of the Properties panel varies, based on the element selected.
Live Preview & Workspace
The Live Preview & Workspace is where you visualize your form as you build. Click on any field to select it and show its properties. Right-click anywhere, to insert new fields and to access the quick settings menu.
Theme & Style Settings
In the top right corner of the Form Designer, the Theme & Style button provides access to the Theme Settings window. Choose from any of our master themes, or click settings and edit the individual colors and properties.
