Lesson 2: Automating Email Responses
In Lesson 1, you learned how to design and edit a form using the Form Designer. In this lesson, you'll learn how you to send automated email responses when the form gets submitted.
When a form gets submitted, you likely want to:
- Receive an email notification to let you know the form was submitted. We call this a Notification Email, and it is part of a Notification Profile. You can have multiple Notification Profiles and define rules to determine which profile to use based on values from the form. We'll discuss that in depth later.
- Display a 'Thank You' page and send an email back to the person who submitted the form. These two components are defined in an Autoresponder Profile. Within an autoresponder you can define if you want to redirect to another page, show a 'Thank You' page, and/or send the Autoresponder Email. As with Notification Profiles, you define multiple profiles and use rules to send the correct response and show the correct message when the form is submitted
